Execution Through Leadership Overview
From Strategy to Results: Leading Teams That Deliver. A one-day course that equips leaders to close the gap between strategy and results by building disciplined execution habits across their teams. Six modules, four exercises and one capstone, built on a 70% practice, 30% instruction design.
Participants leave with real commitments, not just concepts. The 30-Day Execution Sprint and accountability-partner pairing create post-training sustainability, and a follow-up coaching session with Q&A increases skill transfer.
What we cover
Module 1: The Execution Mindset The execution gap and why smart plans fail. The 4 Disciplines of Execution (FranklinCovey): focus, lead measures and a cadence of accountability. Cases: Boeing, Amazon, Kodak, Nokia. Exercise: Execution Diagnostic.
Module 2: Clarity & Direction OKRs: writing measurable outcomes, not tasks, and cascading goals from company to team to individual. Cases: Google, Intel, Spotify. Exercise: Write Your Team OKR, with a gallery walk.
Module 3: Accountability Culture The Accountability Ladder (eight levels). Moving teams from a victim to an ownership mindset. Coaching language that drives ownership. Case: Satya Nadella at Microsoft. Case study: The Missing Deadline.
Module 4: Decision-Making Under Pressure The OODA Loop. The Eisenhower Matrix. Decision rights and RACI. Case: Amazon's two-pizza teams. Exercise: 10-10-10 Decision Sprint.
Module 5: Leading Through Obstacles Stop, Assess, Options, Decide and Act. Navigating resistance and change fatigue. Cases: Airbnb's COVID pivot, Steve Jobs at Apple. Obstacle coaching role-play.
